Just remember not to drink the milk!

Look at it this way, at least you didn't get sick after drinking the sludge and have to reschedule the "exploration". Hope both you and Andrew feel better, and as a general rule of thumb whenever you're sick, you avoid dairy of ANY type. It is your enemy (until your better. Then it's your friend again).

Are you SURPRISED that you go sick, too? I'm not. It was only a matter of time. Hope you feel better soon!!

Ahh, the joys of parenting?

If there's any sugarfree icecream left, avoid it. Cheers, to a healthier year!

Miiiiiiilk!

April Ann - 2004-01-27 11:14:49
heh heh... Little stories like this remind me why I avoid people. Keep a bucket nearby. One of my favorite effects of the virus is that sometimes it can make one shoot from both ends at once. That is, unless your colon is still fairly clean.

This is only the beginning UB. Be prepared to get almost everything your kid brings home for the next 5 years or so. That's what happened in our house - 1 kid gets it and then "spreads the love" to everyone else! But it does taper off. So drink your Gatorade, try some GingerAle (works great) and sleep!!

It's almost as though he paid no attention to the nurse yesterday who told him the rotovirus was very contagious... Go figure.

Kim - 2004-01-27 12:19:10
No shit. DUH.

Jenn - 2004-01-27 12:23:57
you can always tag along with me to the hospital today for my radioactive injection and internal photo shoot!

Stop trying to make us all jealous. ;-)

Scoop - 2004-01-27 12:56:02
UB, your life sucks SO BAD right now. I feel for ya, bud. Hang in there...
-------------------------------
Saladwhore - 2004-01-27 13:19:25
Umm, yeah dude - told ya so. But deepest sympathies, really. Working daycare, I used to get it at least once a year. Talk about wishing for death . . . ewwww, nothing is worse.

Unfortunately, Susie is probably next . . . :-(

((((((((((((((UB))))))))))))))))))) Oh MAN! I'm sorry and I hope you get better!

fargahar - 2004-01-27 15:04:45
Noone recently said anything Shakespearian to you like, "A plague on your house" or anything right???
-------------------------------
Lando - 2004-01-27 16:29:58
I think you owe it to Susie to drink a gallon of milk. she needs this.

Jill - 2004-01-27 17:03:47
I don't think God likes you anymore.

Jessica in Cleveland Alabama - 2004-01-27 17:26:26
Oh man, you are having some bad luck Uncle Bob. But you should have known that it was contagious :-p. Get well soon!

Morgan - 2004-01-27 18:12:38
Might want to stay away from the computer for a while.. Throwing up on a keyboard = ew. But look on the bright side! Uhh... At least you don't have three stomachs?
-------------------------------
Myramains - 2004-01-27 22:09:09
Rotovirus landed my kid ihn the hospital for four days. he dehydrated completely (well, not compleeeetely...but far enough) in just 12 hours. So beware dehydration, Unk, and good on ya for having the Gatorade handy. The stomach cramps are a real party, aren't they? And...that smell. You never quite forget that smell. Best wishes to you both. ~M

emma - 2004-01-28 08:49:34
*sighs* That absolutely sucks. And even if you knew it was contagious and washed your hands and stuff, it's not like you were going to tell your sick kid to stay ten feet away at all times. Geesh, y'all, cut him a break. Feel better soon!!
