Who are you and what did you to Uncle Bob?
-------------------------------
Susie - 2004-08-03 08:54:24
Bob, come back to bed right now, honey.
-------------------------------
Faville - 2004-08-03 08:55:34
Yes, you have probably scarred Andrew for life. I went on the rollercoaster at Kiddieland when I was 7 or 8 and was pretty scared (I don't know if terrified is the right word). I'm 34 now and won't go on anything faster than the merry-go-round. Last time we went to Great America and paid our 40 bucks each, I just brought a book to read.

Kelly - 2004-08-03 08:58:06
You're right, you scarred him for life. I was one of those teenagers who spent days before an amusement park trip throwing up with nervousness because I had to be lame in front of my friends who loved roller coasters. I now know why. My dad took me on an enclosed waterslide when I was about Andrew's age and scared the life out of me. Don't be surprised if the kid is a fly-fearing adult. I absolutely fall apart at the idea of boarding an airplane which will, at some point, ascend to 30,000 feet. Nice job, Pops. But cool on the Dave G. reunion :-) Can't wait to hear the results of the concert AND the news that was waiting on you when you returned home. Does it have anything to do with an island and cocoa nut bras?

dalek - 2004-08-03 09:04:56
bahhhh! dont worry, hell be fine. sometimes we all need the shit scared outta us....it builds character!
-------------------------------
Bubba - 2004-08-03 09:12:30
This will cost you ten's of thousands of dollars in future therapy bills for Andrew. He will blame you for everything that goes wrong in his life...oh wait. Kids do that anyhow....carry on.
-------------------------------
Jenn - 2004-08-03 09:18:41
The lack of hair on top and the addition of facial hair makes you look Asian. Not that there is anything wrong with that! I'm just saying...
-------------------------------
Andy - 2004-08-03 09:23:50
Wow Uncle Bob. That picture of you and your friend is creepy. You look great, but the bald guy holding Andrew...he looks like a retard. I wouldn't let him touch my son. Look how he has his hand on Andrew s ass. Bad touch! Bad touch!
-------------------------------
HRT - 2004-08-03 09:35:35
My son is about the same age as your Andrew (my son is 3) my son is also into Trains (every song is about Thomas, if your kid is into trains you know EXACTLY the Thomas I'm talking about)

HOWEVER. My son is not a wuss and rides every ride at the park. I think its because I conditioned him early. When he was 18 months I took his tiny toddler @$$ on his first "big" roller coaster and the kid ain't looked back since. Your problem, you waited to late.

ya pansy.

Oh, and I don't want to alarm anyone, but I think UB has been cloned...

And cloned badly. It's kind of like on TV when one actor decides he doesn't want to play the role anymore so they hire a new actor to play the same part and think the viewers are too dumb to notice. Like Dick Sergent & Dick York on Bewitched.

Bad Dick. Bad.

Bart - 2004-08-03 10:01:29
"Relive Dolly's incredible career as you admire her gowns, movie costumes and countless awards"....WOW! You da man UB! What's up for next years vacation? The Sprngfield cider mill?
-------------------------------
kaki321 - 2004-08-03 10:23:46
FAVILLE, do you live in Chicago? I took my son to Kiddieland last month, he is 3...he went on the log ride and his body about flew out of the damn boat! Like, Andrew, he barely skimmed the top of the height stick to get on. Little guy loved it though, he wanted to go again. I am not sure that this is really UB either. Something seems kind of off about his posts.

Brandi - 2004-08-03 10:29:54
That video lady was right. Ugh.
-------------------------------
flour girl - 2004-08-03 10:30:22
Glad you got a tan on your shaved head. Being a fuckwad and mowing all those lawns for Dennis the Menace paid off.
-------------------------------
dawn - 2004-08-03 11:33:04
Sheesh, you've scarred the kid for life now. I know my dad almost let me drown (accidentally) at age one, I refused to even step into water until I was like, ten. Good luck with therapy.
-------------------------------
Pisser - 2004-08-03 12:18:55
Yes, you have been on Extreme Asian Makeover. Now you are the Grand Poo-bah or something. But oh-so-healthy looking! I am sorry I ever complained about screaming children, after reading what you went through. Poor little kid. I am chickenshit of rides, too. Fortunately, most of the rides at Disneyland are about my speed (except Space Mountain - evil-bad!)
-------------------------------
George - 2004-08-03 12:20:18
i noticed you have the Heinz bottle front and center in your picture than UB. Your just a Damn liberal commie rat bastard with your subliminal "vote kerry" propaganda
-------------------------------
hotcarl - 2004-08-03 12:36:39
Except the Heinz's are republican's you liberal spin doctor. Everyone knows that former Slave Owner Teresa stole the Heinz fortune. And yes, she, or rather her parents, were the employeers of a great many indentured servants, but I guess liberal blacks are willing to forgive and forget when it comes to their politcal idols.

Jamie - 2004-08-03 12:49:42
Well, it's about damn time we got an update. The comments section was anarchy for awhile there.
-------------------------------
George - 2004-08-03 12:50:08
Hotcarl...don't turn this into a FARK thread...on no.. /I blame Kerry
-------------------------------
A - 2004-08-03 13:01:31
Your kid sounds like an absolute nightmare. But that doesn't surprise me.
-------------------------------
Argentum - 2004-08-03 13:08:00
I think you're lookin' good, Bob.
-------------------------------
Erika - 2004-08-03 13:08:58
Personally, I like the shaved head look. It's better than the Southern Baptist Evangelist look. ha ha ha Did you see? I'm having another boy. (Good God, what have I gotten myself in too?)
-------------------------------
nina - 2004-08-03 13:55:40
except, hotcarl, that Teresa Kerry isn't an actual descendant of the Heinz Family, just her first husband was Mr Heinz
-------------------------------
Craig - 2004-08-03 14:24:25
Isn't that John Kerry in the photo next to the asian man that is touching Uncle Bob's son in an inapproriate way?
-------------------------------
Jimbo - 2004-08-03 14:39:10
I believe you're right Craig. Call RushLimbaugh! John Kerry hangs around with Asian Pedophiles! What ever happened to Uncle Bob? Has anyone heard from him?
-------------------------------
Jinxie - 2004-08-03 15:04:33
Is it just me...or have UB's comment threads turned unusually mean-spirited and ramdomly weird lately? Like, mean-spirited in a bad way, with "trolls", not fun, ha ha just joking mean-spirited. Eh, all I know is that I love me some UB, bald and asian-looking or not.
-------------------------------
mellie - 2004-08-03 15:29:43
man uncle bob could pass as dom delouise in a reallly sick way
-------------------------------
lorrie - 2004-08-03 15:40:06
Kids and amusement parks..Bah! We took a trip to Disney World when the kids were 2 and 4. (I attended a convention, no way would I have taken such small kids otherwise). The two year old thoroughly enjoyed whiplash during Mr. Toad's ride (whirling teacups) while the 4 year old cringed at the thought. But they both survived It's a Small Fucking World while I have been in therapy ever since.
-------------------------------
Jessica - 2004-08-03 15:48:50
Wow Uncle Bob. I think you look great!! Glad you seemed to have a good vacation and didn't get abducted by aliens.
-------------------------------
SuperDad - 2004-08-03 15:54:50
Jinxie what "bad" trolls?????!Everything I read in the comments seems to follow the tone set forth by UB's entry, and are very funny. For me, the add to whole UB experince.
-------------------------------
Conspiracy Theorist - 2004-08-03 15:54:56
That isn't uncle bob. That's uncle bob's pod person.
-------------------------------
Jinxie - 2004-08-03 16:07:21
Eh, I guess you're right SuperDad...maybe the more I learn about UB through his posts, the more normal he seems; and the more normal UB seems, the stranger all the rest of us seem. If that makes any sense at all [though I'm not sure it does...].
-------------------------------
ibeejd - 2004-08-03 16:10:15
HAHAHAHAHAH......poor kid. I hope the news waiting for you when you got home doesnt have anything to do with us breaking your poster thingamajiggy with our childish antics...or that they REALLY do charge you per post....
-------------------------------
cosmicrayola - 2004-08-03 16:40:53
I'm sure Andrew will be fine. Glad you had fun. And glad your back.
-------------------------------
Drewsgroupie - 2004-08-03 16:51:32
Drewwww? Oh Drewwwwww? Where are you? Haven't heard from you for awhile. Not since you chastised us for inappropriate use of the comment section.
-------------------------------
onewetleg - 2004-08-03 17:10:19
glad you're back, ub. i'm not good at writing eulogies. love,

Wander off for a few brief moments and people lose their dam minds.

Oh wait. that post was supposed to be placed a few posts up higher.
-------------------------------
erica - 2004-08-03 17:52:37
I'm not the erica from Tennessee, but I am the one that assisted in breaking the comments thingy. I do have to say, that Dave guy looks kinda creepy. I think I've seen him before. What's with the malicious grin on his face?? Anyway, good to have you back UB.
-------------------------------
tif - 2004-08-03 18:28:41
im sure the kid will be fine. he looked ok in the pic glad youre back
-------------------------------
hotcarl - 2004-08-03 18:29:14
Nina, that's exactly what I said... Heinz are republican, she stole their fortune and put it to work for the dems when her husband, Senator Heinz died... I still find it funny she kept the name and won't give Kerry the respect of taking his. If he can't control his foreign wife, how will he control the U.S.?
-------------------------------
kristina from TN - 2004-08-03 19:33:46
dude, that freaking log ride scared the shit out of me! plus, we had this little bastard in the front who kept leaning and making it almost tip over! Poor andrew!
-------------------------------
PillowBqqk - 2004-08-03 19:42:02
Hey HotCarl, I'm thinking that Theresa Heinz Kerry didn't drop the "Heinz" because of her children with her first husband, their father. And how did she "steal" their fortune? I'm sure she received her inheritance from a last will and testement.
-------------------------------
ibeejd - 2004-08-03 21:50:01
oh please....dont defend the ketchup queen...she got money she didnt earn. ooops did I say that outloud?
-------------------------------
Amy - 2004-08-03 23:38:47
Woohoo! Knoxville! Calhoun's! And Dave's hot. Are you gonna grow the hair back, UB? You're looking a mite devilish bald.
-------------------------------
Jedzz - 2004-08-03 23:47:39
Bob, didn't you say that you were going to grow your hair out again after that unfortunate encounter at Blockbuster? Optimistically, your hair is one sloooooow grower. Pessimistically, I guess you're with that look for a good, long while, since your hair ain't coming back on its own anytime soon.
-------------------------------
Nysha - 2004-08-04 19:01:53
My husband let my 3 yo son go on some horrifying ride at the fair 9 years ago and the kid hasn't riden a ride since. To late now, but in case any other potential fathers are out there: if you can't see the ride or it's faster than the merry-go-ride in front of the supermarket, don't make the kid go on it. Sheesh.
