My English teacher in 9th grade was Ms. Thibodeau - we called her The Thibinator, because we hated her.

I can't believe how grown up Andrew looks. He's a cutie!!!
-------------------------------
Kelly - 2004-12-02 08:09:05
I thought the "h" was silent...Tib-oh-dough. Anyways....Andrew is such a cutie pie! Your little boy is really growing up when he can sit on bearded strangers laps and act like he's known them his whole life :-)

warcrygirl - 2004-12-02 08:10:49
It's always the shy kids that surprise you the most. My oldest was almost 5 before he would sit on Santa's lap while my youngest would talk him to death. Oh yeah, milk that Santa stuff for all it's worth; that shit doesn't work for mine. How's that for rotten?
-------------------------------
BigpimpinMBA - 2004-12-02 08:19:41
Would you just freak the F out if you ended up picking up Bob Thibodeau's piss someday? I think that jug-o-pee would be strapped into the passenger seat in a place of honor in the UB-mobile.

I've been trying the Santa threat, but I don't think the threat is any match for the terrible two-years-and-ten-months. I was hoping to milk the Santa threat this year, but it looks like it'll have to wait another year. Shit.

elayne - 2004-12-02 08:24:35
Andrew changed his mind about the carrot??
-------------------------------
Telisa - 2004-12-02 08:40:05
Andrew is adorable, guess the carrot thing is out. Either that or he was saving his real list for Santa. (((((((((hugs))))))))

Gretsch - 2004-12-02 08:47:58
Bob Thibodeau. Bob Thibodeau. Bob Thibodeau. Bob Thibodeau. Bob Thibodeau. Bob Thibodeau. I don't know about a speach problem, but my co-worker is staring at me like I'm an idiot.

Compmo - 2004-12-02 09:01:11
What a cutie pie! Enjoy they grow up to be rotten teenagers ;-) all too soon the magic ends.

Bob Thibodeau - 2004-12-02 09:05:23
Stop raggin' on my name or you'll be hauling my piss around the day after I eat 2lbs of asparagus!

How about TIB-O-DOUGH? Like Eldon in the Cosby show. I think that was his last name, spelled that way but pronounced TIB. Anywho, I was home all week and watched way toooo much Cosby. So my apologies

mattie g - 2004-12-02 09:28:17

luxlust - 2004-12-02 09:45:15
Jesus Gawd! You post an entry, and 15 minutes later you have 30 responses! It's like everyone is sitting around all antsy and twitchy until they get their UB fix! You are a special boy aren't you?!
-------------------------------
Mary - 2004-12-02 10:09:34
It's TIB-uh-d'oh, actually, if you really want to sound Cajun and cool. 'Cause those two adjectives go together SO well.
-------------------------------
April Ann - 2004-12-02 10:22:01
Well, to tell you the truth, it looks like Santa is wearing dentures... but the whole blue beard thing, I can relate on. Dude is probably a smoker, and had to so something to make his beard look white instead of yellow, so he probably tried a do-it-yourself toner job. The stuff is relentlessly blue, and if you leave it in too long, well... Yeah, I bleach my hair, and use toner to get the yellow shades out of my hair. Such is the curse of the bottled blonde...

Lori - 2004-12-02 10:33:09
Watch out UB. All the good ole Cajun boys are gonna come pound the crap out of you with their gator tails for making fun of their names! Hee. I'm married to one, so I know what I'm talking about.

Annie - 2004-12-02 11:18:03
That Santa is most certainly not Santa. It's the gloves that freak me out.

Sniel - 2004-12-02 11:32:07
I once knew a guy named Bob Loblaw. Try that one out a few times...
-------------------------------
Jennifer - 2004-12-02 12:49:56
Those are THE most adorable dimples EVER. That kiddo of yours is a CUTIE!!!
-------------------------------
Lorac - 2004-12-02 12:52:12
OK, I was laughing my ass off after saying Bob Thibodeau over and over again, but when I got to Bob Loblaw...oh my God...Hurry UB, there's about to be some piss on the floor that I need you to come pick up for me. Too freakin funny, Sniel!

Jen the Radiator Lady - 2004-12-02 13:16:50
www.radiatorlady.diary-x.com - Does this not remind anyone of the delightful geezer movie, "On Golden Pond?" Henry Fonda's last name in that film was Thayer and there's a whole bit about how Kate Hepburn almost didn't marry him because her name is Ethel and she thought "Ethel Thayer" sounded far too speech impedimently retarded. Now THAT is a fun name to say over and over. You really do start sounding like Daffy Duck. Or whoever the fuck it was that lisped.

Elle - 2004-12-02 13:21:13
Ohmylord, could Andrew be any cuter? I don't think so. What a great picture. Thanks for sharing.

Try.. Bob Blaubach (blah-bawk). And as far as the Santa thing.. consider The Good Deed Chart. Make a spreadsheet.. with all the days leading up to Christmas, and he gets a "star" on it everytime he does something "good". Tell him you're going to leave it out for Santa to see on Christmas Eve. You can get oodles of good behavior over that one. And the threat of a "black mark" is a good one too. Parenting is soooo fun.

ScottyP - 2004-12-02 17:00:50
Everybody seems to be more interested in ol' Bob than the Santa Issue. That is one scary-ass Santa. Do these people have to have child abuse clearances or anything? Think about it...we spend all year warning our children NOT to speak to strangers, then we put them in a line to SIT on a stranger's freakin' LAP!

Andrew looks adorable in that pic!! I used to work in a doctor's office and there were two names everybody knew, and would say constantly, Keum Chiapetta and Linda Koolmeister. (I swear it's true) Can you imagine having a name like one of those?

What do you mean "there's no Santa Claus"?

schmuck - 2004-12-02 20:46:39
Dude, move to Quebec man. Thibodeau is probably the 4th most common name here, or something like that. You would have a ball.
-------------------------------
madfoo - 2004-12-03 00:30:47
I never thought I would get a hometown reference in uncle bob's diary of fun. My day was made. Yay SE MI and Bob Thibodeau!
-------------------------------
demora00 - 2004-12-03 00:57:22
Actually, the french canadian in me screams out Tsee-bo (as in bow without the w)- dough. There is always a pronounced "s" for those syllables in Quebec.

westburian - 2004-12-03 14:18:05
Other notable cajun/french names, (my mom's side of the family is from the south part of Louisiana) Charpentier -pronounced Shar-pen-t-yay. Boudreaux prounounced Boo-droe. Callais is prounounced Call-ay. And of course the most common dogs name is Fideaux, prounounced FIE-DOUGH. :)

Santa has always scared the crap out of me thanks to my parents. They thought it would be fun for me to wake up on Christmas morning and see Santa Claus, so they brought home this 4 foot plastic Santa my dad had for his office and put it by my bed in the middle of the night. But instead, I woke up while it was still night to see what in the dark, looked like an evil little troll standing right next to my bed. I freaked right out, and I think went from my bed all the way upstairs to my parents room in one leap and piercing scream. I now have Santa-phobia.

I didn't read all the other comments because, ummm, I don't want to, but anyway. Ya, I had a friend in school. Andrea Thibodeau. She pronounced it Tib-i-dough. Anyway, I was amazed at Andrew. The baby is gone! He is definately a little boy now and those dimples are gorgeous!
