Loved the lists, though I do't know half the movies and none of the albums, but I agree with you about Lost. Excellent show!

H.N.Y., bud. I wonder how many readers are old enough to get that subliminal Durante-ism?

Hey UB! Just busting in to tell you that I totally agree about Tom Waits. I truly love the old stuff. Yet I still buy all of his new stuff. Even if I know I won't like it. I must own it!

Agree with you about most of the movies, especially the Passion - I rented it with a bunch of my sadomasochistic friends who have crucifixion fetishes too, and...eh. I don't think it even works on the whole snuff film level.

Yeah Bob, William F'n Shatner??? Who would have thought it could be that good? I am surprised too, and I find myself listen to that disk more than any other disk, at least for the time being.

I love you, Uncle Bob. So I hope you read this. We have nothing but respectful prayers for the thousands who lost their lives in New York, but throw in a joke or two when tens of thousands of equally human lives are lost halfway across the world? I imagine you understand freedom of speech. You're a journalist. So am I, and I'm truly pleased to see it exercized. But there are bounds: hate speech regulations, etc. And when you ignore those bounds, when you use your rights to promote ethnocentrism, I think it hurts free speech itself -- a lot more than it helps.

*gasp* Team America was hilarious! I think it was just to subtle for you, UB. Or you're crazy..... either one works.

I just can't listen to a William Shatner CD. I just. Can't. Do it. Happy New Year, Uncle Bob!

Lost is great if only for Paul Dini's involvement. He promised me a plague episode and some senseless animal manglings and he's never promised me anything he didn't deliver. Not to mention he's kind of sick and funny (love him!) -Fox

Heather, How old are you? Three maybe. So mature. Why is it okay to post entries that agree with UB but not ones that disagree? You guys are the same ones that cry "free speech". What a immature hypocrit.

WHAT? No Napolean Dynamite? That movie was GREAT!!!

Farenheit 911 was a crock-o-crap. Watch Farenhype 911. You get to see all the guys he interviewed talk about Mr. Moore's editing and misuse of quotes. Michael Moore is the anti-christ. I thought Bowling for Columbine was great until I discovered the true story and now I know that Mr. Moore is a lying piece of crap. Not to say that Bush is any better, but don't put a propaganda film out and act like the entire movie is based on fact.

kris - 2005-01-05 12:11:21
Fahrenheit was disappointing only because it didn't show us anything we didn't already know but then I remembered you guys don't get 'news'. Shaun of the Dead was hysterical.
