I'm back!

You get the best jobs, UB. Even the Piss Boy job was a good one. I want a job where I can show up when I want, leave when I want, and nobody cares.

cheri - 2005-02-17 08:56:22
third!

Lando - 2005-02-17 09:13:52
i'm admittedly jealous.

Yay Uncle Bob! It rocks to love your job. And now we get more Drunk Assed Jamie stories again! aaahhhh, the fun we'll have... :o)

BigPimpinMBA - 2005-02-17 09:27:48
Do you need an assistant? You can call me Chip and I'll run and get you your cup of Joe in the morning and say things like, "Sure thing Boss", "Right away Chief!", and "Golly Gee Willickers, we need to call and stop the presses! Farmer Pickles' cow was violated by the mayor!".

We'd be the best journalism team in the land.

If nobody is doing any work, how do they get the paper published?
-------------------------------
Squeakster - 2005-02-17 09:34:54
Damn, sixth! (*sigh*)
-------------------------------
Squeakster - 2005-02-17 09:36:40
Damn! Again!

fifi - 2005-02-17 10:13:49
"Mineus jobbus" LOL!

Rivetergirl - 2005-02-17 10:23:07
Hey, wait a minute ... I think I'm getting ripped off. I work for a small-town newspaper and I have to be here at 8 every morning. Does you paper have any openings for pretty-decently paid executive assistants who get to horse around most of the day?

Onyxpurr - 2005-02-17 10:23:57
Congrats!!! Especially on the coveted office. Granted it's shared, but it's better than these mazes I work in. Especially my new job, we all have low level walls and the guy behind me keeps walking over and talking over the walls to guy right on the other side if me. Hello?! Would you like to sit here? Cool, man!!! I need your agent. you have the coolest gigs!
-------------------------------
purplecigar - 2005-02-17 10:27:13
Wow! I love your job too.
-------------------------------
Jinxie - 2005-02-17 11:02:35
Aw, congratulations Uncle Bob!!! You totally deserve a better deal than just "Piss Boy," though you were the world's finest PB, I'm sure. Hey...be sure to send any extra "good job" vibes my way, eh?
-------------------------------
Dea - 2005-02-17 11:08:45
UB I love your job too! I kinda get to come and go when I want, but I don't get to write and have fun like that. And my boss isn't a drunk ass, he's just an ass!
-------------------------------
duvetgirl - 2005-02-17 11:32:44
That's so cool, UB. It's like the end of a movie, when the hero has been through all the crap (literally!) and it all comes good. I'm welling up here!
-------------------------------
Willie Loman - 2005-02-17 11:52:06
My bosom burns with envy. Imagine a job where someone has been geting away with drawing a check and just blowing off the work for years. You'd have to bitch-slap the boss and burn down the office to get fired! You, UB, are farting through silk!
-------------------------------
Lorac - 2005-02-17 12:38:51
Those of you who felt the need to bash UB's grammar/use of the English language in yesterday's entry...STFU!!! It's not like he's preparing a great literary work (no offense, Uncle Bob) or a technical manuscript. He's just talkin' here.

saidnot - 2005-02-17 15:33:04
Hey, come sanp a picture of me while you're at it. I'm just sitting here between the bricks and the tractors ... Its silly. Tractors, construction, bricks, magazine, more tractors ...

Jenna - 2005-02-17 16:04:04
Congrats Uncle Bob! Nice to hear you sounding so happy and all - don't get me wrong, my favorite entries are your cranky-ass bastard ones, but damn it's nice when things go your way.
-------------------------------
Azimel - 2005-02-17 19:48:11
Twenty-first! Wait... Yay Uncle Bob! It's nice to see you not cranky about the worky-work. And remember: as you revel in your job, smile knowing that somewhere a Piss Boy is potentially being strangled by an agitated secretary.
-------------------------------
Argentum - 2005-02-17 21:52:37
Bob, you deserve all the success and happiness you can possibly have. Its nice to hear you sound so happy. We should all be lucky enough to find our niche'.

Ahh.. Such is the sweet sweet bliss of the corporate life! Wait until you have "Corporate functions". That is just the fancy word they use for free piss up on the company account while the heads of the team mumble a few words to the rest of the crew as supposed encouragement. All you have to think about, is getting in more free piss than anyone else. (And thats piss as in grog, not as in piss boy piss) Ahh. The sweet sweet corporate life. You could grow mull in your office and no one would know...
