Good work with the tax return - I only managed $821 yesterday and was feeling fairly pleased with myself. Enjoy the hail.

I'm from Australia and I've never seen any school boys dressed up like that. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places. Maybe school boys don't go to school...?

OMG even your barely-pottytrained son made over $800 yesterday! All hail UB!

Good luck with the hail. You may be spending that 5,700 on repairs.

I had a similar experience when I saw Cheap Trick open up for Cake about 2 years ago. The Rick Nielson 5-necked guitar and throwing pick after pick into the audience seemed quite cool back in the 70's, but not so cool in 2002, especially with 25 years tacked onto the original Rick persona. Ironic that it really did feel like a sort of Cheap Trick.

God is obviosly trying to smite you. First it was the plague of the dead grass (yea, pharoh didn't pay attention to that either, and now the plague of really bright ligthening and hail.

Stayed tuned for tomorrow: Plague of the missing remote control. If I were you Skippy, I'd get my ass to church.

Oh, by the way, do you have the $5,701 that you owe me?

Back in high school in the early 80s there were guys (um, stoners) who thought the AC/DC dude's name was Agnes. Good times. Seriously, I've been doing his stomp/head bobbing thing whenever I've heard "You Shook Me All Night" for the last 25 years -- which has been entirely too many times. Doing it in the car, at speed does disturb people in other cars, though.

You love AC/DC. You know it. You love Australians. IF you don't, then you suck! Suck more than some one with a hoover who sucks more than something sucks ever. Ok I'm drunk. Australia Rules!

If that lightening hit your lawn, you're about to see some green grass pretty soon, mister!

you "...arose..."? Hell UB, when things like that happen to me in the middle of the night, I do a lot of different things but I wouldn't describe any of them as "arose"!

Hey, have you ever noticed that AC/DC is the tiniest band in the world? Angus, Malcolm and Brian are so wee. I don't even think Angus and Malcolm hit the 5'3'' mark.

i can't fucking remember if i read it (months ago) in your diary, UB, but if i did--the GIANT LAVA LAMP is finally finished, according to the news i just heard in NPR. i think it was your diary that had the link to the giant lava lamp website, where one might download the theme song....

"arose to see what all the clatter was about" is a riff on "When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter." It's from "A Visit From St. Nicholas", which the unlettered refer to as "Twas the Night Before Christmas". Not a direct quote, but pretty d good for 6:18 in the morning.

Stevie, I memorized that ditty sometime around my 4th birthday. Can't say exactly how old I was but I sure wasn't in school yet. UB is so comically articulate I just imagined him doing something more... shall I say... acrobatic and uh... colorful. A far reach from imagery of Susie in a "Kerchief" and Bob in a "cap".
