Nursing Student here. Nursing student friend of mine recently scored a job as a Patient Care Attendant (non qualified staff for washing/bathing, dressing feeding patients who can't do it themselves and helping with meds). She came to school today saying "Well I'll be damned, you learn something new everyday, I never realised that old ladies lose all of their pubic hair". Me:"Really? All of it?" Her:"All but a few downy, scraggly hairs". This was confirmed by a more experienced student nurse who said old men lose their hair too.

Obviously, you never took a creative writing course in college full of "mature" students. All their angsty poems and prose were about finding gray pubes. It was horrifying for 20-somethings to hear at 10:00 am. The entire class hated those people. It was the only reason I actually completed my degree in four years. The thought of being a hated mature student ten years on, terrified me.

I read not too long ago that one of the spas in TX actually had a client list for bleaching a private area of the body... where the sun don't shine. Now, I'm not sure why somebody would want that area bleached, but I swear, I can't believe what people will spend money on. Grecian Formula on your man hair? Just pluck them till you're bald.

UB, if it's any consolation, I have ONE gray hair "down there" but it's in the area that I keep shaved. Being blonde, most of my head grays are blended in!

Not all of them do. I help take care of my grandfather, who is 82 now. (He lives with us, my mom is a nurse, so we do all of his healthcare.) You can really tell that he was a very bright redhead.

It's true. I was only able to marry my new husband after I got over the fear of "grey pubes"...and realization that hair DOESN'T MATTER...but (inside me) it did.... I'm 47 and he's going on 54.. I had always dated younger men, having divorced a younger one.. I'm still waiting for his noticed comments of mine..which he has been kind enough not to yet indulge..... BUT, I can tell you, loving him the way I do, I'll love those grey anythings forever!!!! :>}
