I am looking at the same exact phone, which I own, and have mp3s on. I have them saved on the loose memory card. I know that's a whole other product you'd have to get but it's how I got the music to play.

Your entry cracked my s*it up! Omigawd I totally get what you're saying about tech support people from India or Pakistan or some other country where the accent is really thick and you spend more time trying to translate their English than you to resolving the initial issue you called about!!!

I had a frustrating run-in recently as well. I was trying to determine when my cell phone company made it policy to start charging me for incoming texts, and Miss Foreign Support thought I kept asking at what point in receiving the text message do I get charged. Although I expect crappy foreign service with a cheap phone/phone service provider. You, UB, got your dick smacked.

Ebay unlocked phones are your friend! Just make sure they work on your network. There is a plethora of guides on the net to configure them, and then you're not stuck with something you don't want, and not forced to call idiotic tech support. :) I had a samsung once. Ugh. I feel for ya!

no one has warned you that *erizon is the devil? uh-oh. Yeah, and that Patti is India, using an American moniker name, because her job more than likely USED to belong to an American, but doesn't anymore. Most support centers are outsourced to India, Canada, or better yet the Philippines. I know you know this.

iPhone, iPhone, iPhone. It may be ATT rather than that other company, but the technology is SO fine!

But that is the same phone Britney Spears has! Just look at the picture of her where she's texting while running the red light and see for yourself! P.S. Won't your friend help you out with this situation?

Stay Away From Scmerizon and Schrint... Trust me you want a GSM Phone . Buy them unlocked and you can use them anywhere in the world. Email me if you want to switch and I can see what we can do about hooking you up with a phone.

UB: That is not a phone. It is a computer for Barbie dolls. They don't need to work. Everybody knows that Barbie is too busy trying to stand erect with that small waist and ginormous boobage.

Just for the record: All Schmerizon services suck A$$!! I have the Fiber Optic Cable TV and it just keeps getting worse and worse every time they "upgrade." The billing dpartment doesn't know what the sales people say and the sales people don't know what services they offer, and the tech support doesn't know how to log a phone call so you don't have to repeat yourself 12 billion times during the course of one 6 hour phone call which you made to them because you've had their service for 3 months and still haven't been billed.... Maybe I should have left well enough alone and gotten all my services for free.

I think all the customer service departments are now routed through the same third-world call center. I tried to call Schrint to pay my bill, and literally could not understand a word the chick said. Eventually after four repetitions I understood "phone number." I also had similar experiences with Circuit City. One final word - I had the cheapest, crappiest cell phone available for several years. I decide to "upgrade" to one that basically just looks cooler and is a pretty color. The newer, expensiver, phone - sucks a fat one, cuts people off, and won't hold a charge for longer than 24 hours even if I haven't so much as opened it...and I can't even get Schrint to look at it for less than $60, nor can I have a discount on a new phone for another 6 months to a year.

Shmerizon Customer - 2007-12-01 09:27:34
Well, I have the same phone and I'm too damn lazy to figure out all the special features, however, I did notice the mp3 buttons on it. ShmATT is crap service too (I know because I worked in their customer service department) and the iPhone is a glorified piece of poo. The fact is no cell companies are perfect, they all have deals with manufacturers and there will be glitches galore. The one thing I can say about Shmerizon is that they are very good at refunding charges for services and backdating junk so that you're not eff'd if you go over your minutes. ShmATT, not so much. GSM is 2.5g technology and is great, but in the US it's not really necessary. ShmATT is also the only cell company that has UMTA (true 3g technology), but unless you're traveling abroad, you don't really need it. Ok, this post is a bit loquacious. Enjoy your shopping. (BTW, wasn't your phone free?) =)

call centers in france have tech support in north africa (where they're supposed to speak french)...but same thing : I can't understand half the words they say, the other half can't be understood because the call centers must be underwater or something...blah blah telephone blah blah connection blah blah merci, etc ; horrible !
