It's funny how the worst thing that can happen usually does on really important days. But anyway, glad there's nothing wrong with you. :)

Erika - 2004-01-24 17:03:57
Glad you are ok, but sorry to hear Andrew was pukey. Peyton and I both had similar bouts last weekend, but not quite that bad. Poor little guy.

fargahar - 2004-01-24 17:10:22
I am so glad that your ass is okay, UB! Poor Andrew!!

See, that colonoscopy wasn't that bad was it? You didn't mention the drugs though. I love those drugs...glad to hear that you're okay. Poor Andrew...it's so tough when your child is sick. You feel somewhat helpless. Hope he recovers quickly. And your wife had a rather hellish day, too. I know you wanted it to be all about you, but that was not to be! :o) They found a small fatty tumor in my colon...nothing to worry about...biopsy cme back fine. Wow, the picture of it was so cool and guess what? I get a follow-up colonoscopy in about another ten months. Oh, the joy of it all.... Take care of everyone.........

Hey UB! Glad you're great and all. You're never allowed to go get a colonoscopy again, though. See what happens? We were worried and the rest of your family had a bad day! Don't miss it too much, okay?

jfwlucy - 2004-01-24 18:04:38
Hey, congratulations on being cancer-free. Hooray. Have you ever wondered what happens if a doctor like that gets behind in his schedule? Does it affect his bottom line? Or bring probing questions from his supervisor? Who can be a real asshole sometimes?

Now you can say your ass is perfect and mean it. I hope I have the same luck as you come Friday. Two tests on the opposite end of my body. Thank goodness. I'd kill someone if I had to starve for two days.

Kathy - 2004-01-24 18:21:40
I'm glad to hear they didn't find anything in your, um, you-know-what.

Glad to hear you're OK, sorry your family had a shite day. My close friend's 3 year old waited until she was dressed up to go out to throw up down her blouse (there was sick inside her bra) and on the mock-fur rug that it wouldn't wash out of. Then her other kid got the same thing too...and her husband (although he wasn't sick on her) until only she and the dog were left. So far.

Deb - 2004-01-24 18:40:48
Oh my God. You had the best day - I'm sure that's an outcome you hadn't anticipated. Glad to hear you're ok. Sorry to hear about the boy and the van.

So glad to hear the good news, UB. Sorry about the wife and kid's days, though.

Miss Alli - 2004-01-24 19:04:44
Glad all is well in the butt. I know your family had a horrible day, but I have to say? It's an awesome story.

Carrie - 2004-01-24 20:15:12
Hope your son feels better soon, and I am glad that you were not dying or anything lol :) I hope he feels better soon, my kids had it too, it's nasty :(

Brandi - 2004-01-24 20:44:24
They gave you a souvenir videotape to take home with you, right? Beats vacation videos on Family Movie Night.

Soul - 2004-01-24 20:46:38
Good to hear you're okay, man. I'd hate it if anything happened to your ass. Axx

Cruel-Irony - 2004-01-24 20:50:22
Glad to hear the good results, but not so happy to hear that Andrew's illin'. Poor little guy. I'm glad you all made it through such a rough day. Oh, and I hate driving myself to the hospital, especially to emergency.

Cate - 2004-01-24 20:51:52
Aw, so glad to hear everything turned out okay.

Gracie - 2004-01-24 21:37:55
Glad to hear you're alright. My mom's got cancer, and I know how bad that is to go through. Your family sounds like they're going through enough (you included) that wouldn't have been a good addition. Take care of yourself, though, ok?
-------------------------------
Nilliem - 2004-01-24 21:55:33
UB, so glad to hear you are ok...soooo sorry about everyone else. My oldest had a retro virus and they suck pond water!!Don't know about Andrew, but my daughter, instead of losing her appetite, insisted on eating. Roughest vacation I've ever had...hope he feels better, and quickly.
-------------------------------
Paula - 2004-01-24 21:59:01
There's always that perspective thing to keep you from feeling too sorry for yourself. Glad you're ok, hope Andrew is soon feeling better.

awittykitty - 2004-01-24 22:01:29
colonoscopy's are always so anticlimatic. (Well, at least you hope they are.) Glad your ass got high marks. I kinda knew it would. ;-)

KC - 2004-01-25 00:33:44
I'm glad you're okay Uncle Bob. I was absolutely telling everyone to keep you in their thoughts. And some of them were very very very confused. "Super KC, I never knew you had an Uncle Bob. I hope he's doing alright though. I'll pray for him." I tried to explain that you weren't really my Uncle, nor were you a Bob. Which never really went quite like I planned. But anyway, I'm sure you are clear on one thing, which is that everyone here is so so glad that our Uncle Bob is a'okay. (Projectile Vomit, Salty Dog Poo Shake, and Flat Tires aside.)

Mrs. O - 2004-01-25 01:02:38
Hey Uncle Bob, Glad to hear there's no damage down there--scary stuff to go through! And you made it through, so that's one more life experience behind you. I mean behind your behind (hee!). . . Last week, I was in the ER with vomiting + everything else. Next, our 21 mo. old got it, followed by Husband. It's going around---sorry it got a hold of Andrew! Hang in there, pal!!
-------------------------------
luther - 2004-01-25 01:23:18
Yeah, well, I guess we're glad to hear that you and Andrew are okay, but did your doctor happen to find my car keys...ooops...I mean um...yeah, how 'bout them um...Royals...
-------------------------------
Hank - 2004-01-25 02:28:39
UB, congrats on being "all clear". At least I know what I've got to look forward to in at least 15-20 years. Sounds like oodles of fun. Wonder if you had a worm civilization up there he just didn't want to tell you about. Which reminds me, have you eaten and truck stop sandwiches recently... (futurama reference)

sunflowrr - 2004-01-25 06:33:22
Well, it's all *behind* you now, Uncle Bob... Really glad you're okay! My, you sure had a lot of people praying for your butt.

Pam C - 2004-01-25 10:15:06

AMEN no cancer, I am so sorry Andrew is sick, that's not fun, I hope he gets better soon. And Susies tire, good Lord! Hang in!
-------------------------------
Kelly in Huntsville - 2004-01-25 14:44:33
I am A) Glad you are ok!!! and 2) Glad you did not take Andrew to daycare. Wouldn't you be pissed if he got sick from some kid at daycare whose parents took their child in knowing he was puking all night? Which is probably what happened. Poor Andrew. :-( I hope he gets better soon!

Peter - 2004-01-25 19:17:27
