Yo Bob! OK I've always wanted to say that. Really. Bay City Rollers, yikes there's a bad flashback. At a friends wedding the DJ played ABACAB. Try dancing to that one. In his defense it was 1986 and he was a huge Genesis fan.

My husband was trying to sing Afternoon Delight to me the other day and I didn't know what the hell he was talking about. Now I know why...I was only two years old during that 15 mins of fame.

Now is your chance to take Andrew out of daycare (save big $$) and be a SAHD (stay at home dad) especially if you are DJing at night. You and he will LOVE it!

Why do I keep thinking of the movie "The Wedding Singer" after that entry? LOL About the Editor job it could also be a third thing, #3 They already had paid for the ad for a months worth and are letting it run out. And I swear if my sister hadn't of gotten married a year and a half ago the bride would of been my brother in law. He likes those freaky one hit wonders from the 70's too. He would of had a blast. Then you could of had 2 people standing by the speakers.

Since you said "by next Valentine's Day", I'll have to take you up on that bet. Otherwise, I'd have to ask... Do you really think their marriage would last a whole year? I'm imagining there were beer stains on whatever shirt he was wearing. I get the feeling she only got married to the one guy because it's illegal to marry a brother.

Working in a bookstore is a fairly slack job - just don't let them give you a key to the store or they'll start expecting you to actually work. At my wedding reception, my sole instruction to the DJ was not to play that freakin macarena song under penalty of death. Halfway through the reception my cousins wore him down with a zillion requests and he caved - ack. Man, I hate that song.

I was going to say...what's your excuse for not updating now that you're technically unemployed...???? And then you updated. Have you ever considered videotaping these DJ events? Funniest DJ Videos? Of course, that would blast your career as a DJ to hell, but I'd bet some of these idiotic clients would love to have their playlists on television. A kind of DJ reality show.

the bookstore idea. do it. do it, do it, do it. that's my dream. also, i'd just like to say that you are really funny.

I always wanted to work in a bookstore! However, maybe you should look into a part-time gig at a video store. At a place like Blockbuster, you usually get to rent DVDs for free (oftentimes before they're officially released, so that you'll be knowledgeable in case people ask about the movie) and therefore you could cut down on your INSANE DVD buying habit! Just a thought.

Shang-A-Lang was a big hit here in England! Confession time : I love 70s music, though I was only a little nipper at the time...

I ALWAYS wanted to have a wedding reception and play "Should I Stay or Should I Go." that, and "Blue Buddha" by My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. and yet no one will marry me-- go figure.
