I know the "club" you're speaking of. Some friends and I go there sometimes for one thing... and one thing only. To watch the drunk, little stupid people. You'll find that there's one lady who's in there ALL the time. She dances with everyone, wearing no shoes at times, and thinks she's 21 when it's obvious she's not. You know who I'm talking about when you spend a Thursday and Friday night there.

maybe that was the point...to clear the dance floor...so we could view the ever sexy mullet....ever think of that? Only a mullet head would be able to concoct logic like that. Must be the air flow near the ear region. Genius, baby, genius!

I wanted to laugh, but felt more like crying. You see, I live in mullatino land. Yes, mexicans with mullets. They come over the border every weekend to listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd, wearing their felt Wal-Mart black hats and Tony Lama boots. I don't know where to begin. Although you and the crowd seemed to be entertained. That's the important part.

I just thought of another SKYNARD! song you should play for the Mulleteers. "Simple Man". They'll eat it up!!!

i gotta rebuke that first comment, Unka Bob... YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS STUFF UP! The horrifying reality is all too real, played out in clubs, home improvement stores and racetracks as far as the eye can see. So much for evolution. i weep for the human race... but not until after i get a chuckle out of it. Takes all kind to make a world, dunnit?

You crack me up, I don't usually leave comments, but this one hit close to home. See, I'm in a small town in MO and the mullet is alive (and not too well here) also. Its all the rage at the bowling alley bars which sometimes I go just to see spectacles such as this! Glad to have you back!

When I met my husband back in 93, he was sporting a well-coiffed 'let. It was his pride and joy, let me tell you. And we live in a fairly large metropolitan area firmly entrenched in the Rust Belt. Fast forward to 01, I haven't seen the guy in 7 years and the first thing I say when I see him is "you cut your hair!" He looks exponentially better with a normal 'do and I ended up marrying him. But had he kept the 'let, I might be singing a different tune...

Uncle Bob, you MUST take a digital camera with you to your club and capture these precious moments for us. Please?

freakazoidian - 2004-03-03 13:27:45
hehe, stereotypes stereotypes, that's funny stuff Unca Bob! Seriously though, I'd MUCH rather listen to lynard skynard before I'd listen to any rap-crap jungle jive or any of the twinkle toe fairlyland nsync and most of the BS that people listen to today And you didn't play Gimme 3 Steps??? and you call yourself a southerner?

OH Man! I work ina mall in Maryland and there is this guy who hangs around sometimes who looks JUST LIKE JOE DIRT- I really want to ask him about it - I wonder if your Joe Dirt is the same as mine?

beau - 2004-03-03 17:51:28
Ever notice how the word "dang" can't be said now without sounding like joe dirt? daaaang.
